A Chest is used as item storage, giving players a 27-space window for item storage. Chests may also be doubled by placing a second chest adjacent to the first, doubling the storage capacity to 54.

A glitch may be utilized by placing water two spaces from a double-chest, allowing the player to add in a third chest next to the original two. This allows for a glitchy-looking storage container capable of holding 81 items. Chests can be placed on walls without being on anything, but need one space above them to be uncovered otherwise it will not open. However, if another chest is placed directly above the first one, it will open. Chests cannot be placed next to a large chest without the use of a glitch. Also, if two chests are a space away from eachother, you cannot place a chest between them, but you can place a different block.
