Pigs are another very common neutral mob that will spawn on grassy areas at daytime and in small groups. When killed, they can drop 0-2 pieces of Raw Pork which you can use to cook and then eat.

Pigs will eat Mushrooms if they encounter them.

Pigs can be ridden by the player if the player uses a Saddle on them, though they cannot be controlled, and may suffocate if they run into a tree.

After the Minecraft Beta 1.5 Update, an Achievement was added where you must ride a pig off a cliff.
